Players: 9+ | Difficulty: 2 |
Description: Players play 3v1 possession to move up the decreasing in size box tower.
Application: Possession and movement off the ball in different size spaces.

Instructions

Players will be split up into TEAMS OF 3.
The first team will put one player into each of the towers boxes. They are the first defenders (yellow in example).
The other teams will line up at the orange cone.
One team will enter the first, biggest box (blue in example).
Their goal is to complete X amount of passes without the single defender stealing/kicking the ball out (yellow in example).
If they complete the required passes, they move to the next, smaller box.
Their goal is to make it through the tower, getting the required amount of passes in each, reducing-in-size box.
If they make it through the tower, they get a point.
Rules

If the climbing team gets their ball stolen/kicked away, they become the defending team, putting one player in each box.
If the climbing team makes it through the tower, they go back to the line with a point, while the defending team stays for another round.
All active players must stay within the current box's boundaries.
Setup

Create a "tower" of three boxes. Each box is smaller than the last.
One cone at the beginning (biggest box) for teams to line up.
Coaching Points

Emphasize quick passes and movement off the ball.
Can make 1 or 2 touch.
