Description: "Tennis" game of driven passes between teams.
Application: Receiving & accurate driven passes.
Instructions
The Red Team sends a driven pass through the central gate the Blue Team.
Each player has ONE TOUCH , and must take ONE TOUCH.
After one player receives the pass, the other passes/lays it off, and the third fires a driven pass back through the central gate to the Red Team.
Rules
Each player has ONE TOUCH , and must take ONE TOUCH.
If the ball goes out of the grid or not through the central gate, the other team gets a point.
Setup
Cone Box divided by a line of cones.
Cone Gate the center of the line of cones.
Coaching Points
See how hard players can receive driven passes.
Does their first touch set up the other player?
Are they spaced out within the box to be able to receive any angle of pass?
For Youth Coaching:
Instep only passes.
