Chase Down

Players: 2+ | Difficulty: 2 |


Description:  Cardio while dribbling around a grid.


Instructions





  1. Red team and Blue team start at opposite cones. Everyone has a ball.

  2. At "GO!" the teams dribble around the grid in the same direction.

  3. If a player from the other team catches up and tags you, you are out.

  4. The team who has the last player standing wins.


Rules

  • If you are caught up with and tagged, you must do pushups/burpees/sprints/coach exercise of choice while the others continue to run.

  • No cutting corners

Setup

  • Large Square Grid (or half field if your team is extremely fit).

  • Balls for every player.



Coaching Points

  • Players should focus on keeping their ball under control.

  • Do the players touches become significantly worse under fatigue?

  • This drill lets the players own fitness level decide how many laps they do. The unfit players can do a secondary form of cardio once they are caught up with (pushups/burpees/sprints/coach exercise of choice).
