Cross Cardio

Description: Dribbling cardio pattern.


Instructions





Players start at Cone A.

  1. Players dribble diagonally across the grid/field.

  2. Players dribble around the far side corner/cone and go down the side of the grid.

  3. Players round the corner/cone, then dribble diagonally across the center of the grid.

  4. Players dribble around the corner/cone and go down the side of the grid to finish where they started.


Rules

  • No cutting corners



Setup

  • Large grid, half field, or full pitch.

  • Balls for every player (can split into multiple groups if needed).



Coaching Points




  • Make sure players keep the ball under control while dribbling at high speeds.

  • To Increase Difficulty: Allow players to knock/kick the other players balls while running. This emphasizes the need to keep tight control of the ball while dribbling at speed.

  • To Increase Difficulty: Make it a race.
