Description: Passing and dribbling pattern followed by taking a touch away from pressure for a shot.

Instructions

1-2 Touch Across, Dribble Through Cones, 1-2 Touch Across, Touch Away and Shoot
Player A passes the ball to Player B. B then passes the ball back.
Player A takes a touch outside & past the first cone, then passes the ball through the next cones.
Player B passes the ball back. They continue this cycle until the Red Cones.
At the Red Cones, Player A efficiently dribbles through.
Once through the cones, Player A passes the ball to Player B, who passes the ball back.
Player A takes a touch outside and past the first cone, then passes the ball through the next cones continuing playing 1-2 passes with Player B through these cones.
After the final cone, Player A takes a touch towards goal.
Player B runs to apply inside pressure on Player A.
Player A shoots.
Player A gets the next ball, and does the same patterns back the way they came.
Rules

Player B chases Player A before they shoot to apply pressure.
Player A does the passing and shooting pattern both ways before switching with Player B.
Setup

11-12 cones.
Balls placed on the outsides of the exercise.
Goalie optional.

Coaching Points

How fast can Player A pass, take a touch, pass?
Is Player A's final touch weighted into space and away from Player B?
How is Player A's finishing after becoming slightly fatigued?
"1-2 Touch Across, Dribble Through Cones, 1-2 Touch Across, Touch Away and Shoot"
For Youth Coaching:
Slower pace.
Less aggressive pressure from Player B during the shot.
