Shoot, Across, Cut-Back

Description: Combination play leading to a 3-on-1 shooting scenario.
Application: Not becoming hyper-focused on the goal when on a breakaway.

Instructions

Player C should be aware of all their options when through on goal.
Player B checks away from their cone.
Player A passes the ball into Player B.
Player C starts to move forward.
Player B passes the ball to Player A, who is now in stride.
Player C starts to move/run inwards.
Player B moves out of the area and into space.
Player A plays a through ball to Player C.
Player C makes a run towards goal.
Player A makes a run towards the top of the box.
Player B makes a run between the penalty area and back post.
Player C can either:
Shoot.
Slot the ball across goal to Player B.
Cut the ball back top box to Player A.
Setup

3 Cones: 1 wide, 1 central high, 1 central low.
Other players lining up behind Player A.
Rotation

A - B - C
Coaching Points

Is Player C aware of all their options when through on goal?
Is Player C hyper-focusing the goal? Or are they looking for teammates as well.
Does Player B check into space, then get out of the space as soon as they've played their pass?
Do Player A and B sprint to make themselves an option?
For Youth Coaching:
Slower play, emphasize Player C being aware of all options.
