Description: Practicing a simple but effective faint followed up with a burst of speed and a precise, distancing touch.
Application: Having a staple and fundamental understanding of the most basic form of 1v1.

FOR EXERCISE 1
Players: 1+ | Difficulty: 1
Instructions

Player A dribbles at the purple cone.
Once close to the cone, Player A faints and takes a heavy, but controlled touch.
This touch should make it exactly to the cone "goal".
The goal is to have a simple but effective faint which can be followed up with a burst of speed and a precise, distancing touch.
Once through the goal, Player A will turn and dribble at speed back to the start.
Setup

Initial orange cone (A) set 10-20 yards away from the purple cone (B).
2 cone goals:
10yds away from the purple cone.
1 yard wide.
10 yards between each goal.
Line set up behind the initial orange cone.
Coaching Points

Focus on basic mastery of a deceptive faint.
Players should learn how to make an explosive touch lead to the exact space they are aiming for.
Tight turns around the goals.

Players: 2+ | Difficulty: 1
Instructions

Player A dribbles at Player B.

Rotation

Either:
Rounds of 3-5 repetitions.
A - B (B runs to orange starting cone; Once going through the goal A passes the ball to B and goes to purple cone)
