Players: 2+ | Difficulty: 3 |
Description: A player chases a dribbling opponent through a cone obstacle course.
Application: While being chased, players gain better insight on ball touch weight through different scenarios... also cardio.

Instructions

AS SEEN IN EXAMPLE : Red has a ball (Dribbler) , Blue is the Chaser.
The Red Player will start dribbling towards and through the cone course.
Once the Red Player is 5-10 Seconds into the course (depending on skill and length) the Blue Player (who doesn't have a ball) will chase the Red Player through the course.
Rules

The round ends once the Chaser tags the Dribbler.
Setup

A cone dribble course made up of:
Tight turns.
Zig-Zag dribble sections.
Extended heavy touch sprint zones.
Multiple balls.
2 Start cones.
Rotation

Players will switch lines to be either a chaser or dribbler.
Coaching Points

Can make players use a certain foot.
Can be simple or advanced turns.
Can give chasers disadvantages such as jumping jack stations, run backwards, etc.
This is a great way to improve fitness while working on dribble control under fatigue. Make sure they try their hardest to not get sloppy as the drill progresses.
For Youth Coaching:
Can give chasers a disadvantage such as hopping, skipping, or running like a certain animal etc.
