Test You Touch

Players: 2+ | Difficulty: 1 |
Description: Players pass the ball to their partner who tries to stop the ball as close to the cone as possible.
Application: Controlled touch from long distances or firm/lofted passes.

Instructions

Players split into groups of 2.
Each player stands beside a cone.
Player A passes the ball to Player B (in the air if possible).
Player B takes a touch with the goal of the ball settling as close to their cone as possible.
Player B then passes the ball back to Player A for their attempt (in the air if possible).
Rules

If there are multiple teams of two, put two pairs at each cone line, forming a competition between who can get the touch closest to the cone.
Setup

2 Cones widely spaced apart.
Coaching Points

Can they angle their body so their touch lands where they want it to?
Can they play an accurately lofted pass?
To increase difficulty, ban certain body parts from controlling the ball (such as no chest or thigh).
For Youth Coaching:
Shorter distance.
On the ground passes.
